Donor information
Help us help the community!
As a volunteer based non-profit, our greatest need is financial support.
We are a local charity which means your donation will have a direct impact in your backyard.
Your donation will help the volunteer members of Lane County Search and Rescue Special Vehicles Group provide a valuable service to the Community.
We are Powered By YOU!
Your contribution – of any amount – will directly help us in the following areas:
Search Operations
Volunteer Training
Team Equipment and Gear
All donations are used to offset costs and purchase essential equipment.
All volunteer members are on-call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year!
Volunteers typically spend $100 – $500 a year of their own money to support their involvement with Search and Rescue.
The Special Vehicles Group (SVG) is incorporated as a 501c(3) non-profit organization under the name of Lane County SVG Inc.
All donations to the group are tax-deductible.
Your Donation Could Save a Life!
Donors like you give missing, lost, or hurt people in Oregon a chance to survive and return to their homes and loved ones!
Your gift may help rescue a lost former war hero suffering from Alzheimer’s, find a missing loved one, or return a child to their home, your gift helps save and restore precious lives in our community.
Our volunteer search and rescue teams put themselves in harm’s way so that others may live. But that’s not all they do – amazingly, they pay for their own training, equipment, and most of their own gear to do it!
GENERAL SUPPORT
All of our members devote considerable time and personal money to finance a significant portion of that training and gear to keep the community safe.
We rely on donors and sponsors to help fund the balance.
As a non-profit organization, daily operations are dependent on funding donations from private individuals, organizations, volunteer members and the support of the Sheriff’s office which helps to provide the resources they need to rescue people from life-threatening situations each year.
Our members undergo certified training in various forms of aid. All are important skills in the event of a major disaster, but they are also expensive to acquire.
As the name suggests; the Special Vehicles Group incorporates specialized operational and life saving equipment and other logistical materials.
These are expensive to produce and maintain in proper working order.
Funds donated assist in the procurement, installation, and maintenance of this specialized equipment.
